What is the good of your stars and trees, your sunrise and the wind, if they do not enter into our daily lives?

Palacios Texas Sunrise August 21st 2011

This whole project came about because a client wanted me to capture sunrise on her nephews birthday. He was born at 1:45 am on August 19th. I decided this was a project worth dedicating to..so I will be out there for every sunrise I can make. For those of you that can't make it out or are just unable to see it....I hope you enjoy this endeavor. You can see the first few posts here...at this link... portrait blog featuring sunrise

When I logged into facebook after two days of uploading what I captured of sunrise, I was surprised to see that there were about 4 or 5 different mobile uploads in my newsfeed of people's view of sunrise wherever they were. This made me smile thinking that we are taking a moment to notice. In our busy lives running around with schedules and texts and status updates and dvr'd sitcoms. We Notice.
So many wonderful comments flooded my notifications about how everyone loved to see it....and looked forward to it.
Day Three I got out to the bay and another photographer was out there too.
After four days of capturing sunrise and a really enthusiastic response on facebook. I have gone with a suggestion to create this "sunrise project" a blog of it's own. The idea of seeing it everyday and it never ever being the same is intriguing to me.
I realize I won't be here everyday with travel and what-not but I plan to do it everyday I can make it.

If you'd like to give the image as a gift for someones birthday sunrise, wedding day, or any special occasion let me know. If you just like looking at them everyday, that's cool too.
This particular morning I was out by the big cat.

Oh and an interesting fact. I've sat and enjoyed hundreds of sunsets. I had never specifically watched the sunrise in my life before this. I mean...I've seen it out on a morning run...but never specifically sat and watched for it. It's been good for my soul.
